ABOUT JOSEPH MATTHEWS
Joseph Matthews brings 20 years of interior design experience to every project, spanning high-end custom residential estates and large-scale multifamily residential developments. Originally from Indiana, Joseph built his career across markets including Los Angeles before establishing J Matthews Design Studio in South Florida, where the demand for sophisticated, full-service design expertise continues to grow.
Joseph’s background in fashion gave him a trained eye for proportion, color, texture, and the relationship between the body and its environment. Those same principles apply to every space he designs: the way a room feels when you walk in, the way light interacts with a material, and the way furniture scale changes the experience of a space are all informed by a design sensibility that goes beyond trend.
Today, J Matthews Design Studio serves homeowners building and renovating luxury residences across Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, and Southwest Florida, alongside developers delivering multifamily communities that attract and retain premium tenants.
